A Plan to Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19
To Our Valued Residents, Staff and Guests:
During this past year, Tamarisk NorthShore has remained diligent in preventing and minimizing the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to protecting the wellbeing of our residents, staff, clients and visitors while still delivering exceptional service. We are very appreciative of your cooperation and trust during this time and thank you for your patience as the situation continues to evolve.
We are pleased to announce the Tamarisk NorthShore residents and staff have received their first dose of the vaccination, with the second dose scheduled for the end of February. Please note, we are unable to provide the vaccine for those outside of Tamarisk NorthShore. We recommend that you speak with your physician and check the website of the county or city in which you live for further information.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will adapt our strategies based on the guidelines by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health, Lake County Health Department and other health care experts. Please find an overview of our current protocol and safety precautions below.
Welcome to Tamarisk NorthShore! Keeping Our Residents and Staff Safe:
Residents, staff and guests are required to wear face masks in all public areas of our community. Should you need a mask, please see the Concierge.
Frequent hand washing is recommended as is the regular use of hand sanitizer located in stations throughout the community.
Guests are welcome but limited to no more than five at one time. Upon entering the community all guests, residents and staff are required to conduct a health questionnaire and temperature check.
Frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public spaces and high-touch areas including, but not limited to, Concierge and Hostess desks, elevators, elevator button panels, door handles, bathrooms, seating areas, library computers, fitness center equipment and transportation vehicles.
Maintaining a six-foot distance in our public areas and elevators is required. Our furniture in the public and activity spaces has been rearranged to practice social distancing. Proper capacity is maintained for all wellness and Life Enrichment activities.
Dining Services is available for take-out or delivery.
Staff are tested weekly for COVID-19.
Residents are required to be tested and provide documentation of a negative result prior to move-in.
Vendors must follow Tamarisk NorthShore’s guidelines and protocol to keep our community safe.
